DSVV Punch – 10 years logo

Punch - 01Punch is a student sport union in delft and in the year 2005 they were celebrating a decade as owners of their own ‘boat-bar’.

They asked me to design a logo  for the celebration, which could be used in different types of print material, such as flyers, posters and even beer glasses.

The logo was made in a single color to allow for a flexible use in different media, and of course, the 10 years anniversary and the boat were central in the design.

You can see an example of one of the beer glasses underneath.

The single-color design makes sense for something that needs to work on everything from posters to beer glasses. Love how the boat ties it back to the club’s identity.

Ten years of a logo redesign is a nice touch, but ten years is also long enough that half the readers probably still think of the old one. Did they keep anything recognizable or is it basically a fresh start?

single color was a smart call here, it probably looked just as good on the beer glasses as on the posters. more of this logo at minecash
